We’re ecstatic to announce Latest Flame will be working with Seattle’s own Police Teeth in 2011! While we don’t have full details on the forthcoming LP at the moment what we can tell you now is that their 3^rd full-length (following their rippin debut ‘Jazz Records For Sale’ and the equally charged ‘Real Size Monster Series’) is tentatively titled ‘Awesomer Than The Devil’, will be out on vinyl in March/April 2011, and the band is set to record it over the next 6 weeks with Dan Mohr (The Bismarck) at Mysterious Red X Studios in Georgetown.

We need to thank IfIHadAHiFi for the introduction (and this is becoming a habit now after Waxeater) which goes something along these lines. “Hey DJ, got an order from Seattle for ‘Fame by Proxy’, James Burns is the name on it”.
“dude, he plays in a fucking amazing band called Police Teeth, you seriously have to check them out, you’ll love em,…seriously, you will love them!”

Two weeks later (April 2009) I’m off work for a week and listening to the 2 cd’s. From that point, through the entire summer and into fall I cannot get them out of the player. I mean their songs like “Grant Cross Punchout”, “Bob Stinson Will Have His Revenge on Ferndale”, and “Big Hearts, Small Riffs” hit me in a “Celebrated Summer”, “Conditioned”, “Right Brigade”, “Black Holes Resonate (In B-Flat), Baby” sort of way. An epic, rockin, I can’t believe these guys are doing this, holy shit I can’t stop smiling way. Bands like Police Teeth don’t come around very often. When they do their music immediately enters that space in your heart that drives you to see them every time they come through town (and also to drive up to Milwaukee, or DeKalb and see them again if that’s where they’d play next) wear their shirts until they can walk around the block, and play the records for your friends about 500 times.

So bring on 2011, we/I can’t wait!

The band is also on tour from June 12 through July 17, the tour begins right here at the PRF Barbeque (saturday) w/Death Dream, Police Teeth, Bottomless Pit and more.

Fuckface are gearing up for their summer shows with rehearsals that have been felt as far away as Seattle, and that’s sans two of four percussionists who will be here in the summer. The following shows have been confirmed to celebrate the release of their self-titled long-player:

July 9 - Chicago, IL - Quenchers w/IfIHadAHiFi
July 10 - Milwaukee, WI - Miramar Theatre w/IfIHadAHiFi
July 11 - Green Bay, WI - Crunchy Frog w/IfIHadAHiFi

System and Station begin their summer tour June 9 in Olympia, WA at Le Voyeur, check the tours page for updates. They’ll be heading through the pacific northwest and into the midwest for about 20 shows.

Waxeater begin their summer tour just a couple of days later on June 12 at the PRF Barbeque here in Chicago. We’re posting dates as they’re confirmed and thusfar Waxeater have 34 of 40 dates solidified.
